Breeders Cup Juvenile Trivia: Midshipman…?

Midshipman’s third dam, Carnival Princess, has a close relative who made headlines off the racetrack. Who was the relative and what were the headlines?
Hint: QH Town Policy is a member of the same “club” Carnival Princess’ relative belongs to.
Hint #2: The relative I’m referring to is one of Carnival Princess’ siblings.
Hint #3: Fanfreluche is a member of the “club” too.

No idea. I tried to look through her progeny for a name I recognized, but I didn’t see anything. I did find that she’s related to War Monger. Dunno other than that.

Can we get a hint?

Ugh, I just spent 15 minutes searching before I realized I was looking at the wrong horse’s progeny. Anyway, I figured out hours ago that the club was kidnapped horses, but had trouble finding which sibling was kidnapped, but I found that it was Carnauba. I like Fanfreluche’s story… in foal to Secretariat then found wandering in Tennessee then kept safe by a family until returned to Three Chimneys.

Don’t you wonder how these horses can get kidnapped like this? You’d think there would be better security, especially in a place like Three Chimneys.
