I want to be a GM in the NFL what colleges would be good for me to apply to, what degrees would be good?
I want to become a GM of an NFL team, or just be in the front office, maybe one day be an Owner… BUT I wanna know what College’s would be the best for me to go to… OR what Degrees would be the best for me to work at, to get me set or to have NFL teams look at me… I am still a Freshmen in High School but I am still looking at the future and just looking at my dream job…. Even if I fall short of NFL GM, then I’ll be where I wanna be because I wanna own my own business anyways…
I would recommend you look at Sports Administration and Management…you probably want to get a masters degree to be more competitive. In the meantime, try to get involved with some community service opportunities put on by NFL teams. Make contacts and maintain a good relationship with them. Ask all types of questions and seek out summer opportunities to intern with a team. Don’t hesistate to try to find the emails of current GMs and ask how they got to where they are and see if you can take the same or a similar path. You can also talk with college professors and college football coaches as they usually have good connections with NFL teams since players enter the draft out of college.
