Where is that petrol/oil smell coming from?
Hi
I have a 2001 (51) Citroen picasso currently on 58000 miles. Every so often there is a petrol/oil smell whilst driving. It seems to be stronger/more noticeable under heavier acceleration. Where/what could be the cause and is it expensive to fix?

Check the entire fuel system for signs of leaking, especially the injectors. The top O rings might be bad and leaking. You can do this from the engine compartment of course. Work the throttle linkage back and forth to see if under higher rpm’s where the leak could be coming from, also look under the car to see if there are any wet spots, but I bet it’s the fuel injectors leaking.
